For the second time in less than a month, a heavily involved house greeted the first arriving companies. The fire destroyed the home, claimed the lives of two pets, but caused no injuries to residents or firefighters.
Firefighters from Companies 1 and 4 arrived at 16 Judith Place at about 1:45 a.m. and reported fire in the rear of the dwelling and extending up and into the attic and a rear bedroom. Companies quickly stretched three lines and attempted to access the attic, but fire was throughout and they had to access through the first floor ceiling. A second alarm brought Wayne Company 5 to the scene. Flames broke through the roof and consumed most of it before the blaze was knocked down. The fire was under control by about 3:30 a.m.
