Commercial Building Fire in Fullerton

FULLERTON, CA - On May 27 at approximately 0915, the Fullerton Fire Department responded to reports of a commercial fire in the 1500 block of E. Valencia. Crews arrived to a large commercial structure with heavy smoke and flames. Crews were notified of a fire involving hazardous materials and a missing person. Firefighters immediately went into search and rescue mode while simultaneously attacking the fire.

An adult male victim was located and rescued from the building. Life-saving measures were attempted by Firefighter Paramedics. Unfortunately, those measures were unsuccessful and the victim has been pronounced deceased. One additional victim was treated for smoke inhalation injuries and transported to a local trauma center. The fire was contained in 30 minutes and completely extinguished within an hour.

Fire investigators were dispatched to determine the cause of the fire with Fullerton PD, ATF and undisclosed manufacturers of confidential materials inside the business.
