San Diego County Brush Fire Burns over 250 Acres

On May 30th at 5:45 PM, a fire broke out at a shooting range in the San Diego community of Pala just northeast of the Casino. The fire moved uphill quickly prompting evacuation warnings. Several aircraft were called in to assist in fighting the blaze. The next day, aircraft and additional ground crews returned to fight the blaze. At 14:30, Air attack and Fixed wing aircraft were released from the incident. As of June 2nd, the fire is at 95% containment. Cause of the fire remains under investigation. There was no reported property damage. A few minor injuries to firefighters were reported.
