On May 19th, the New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen's Association held their annual memorial service at the Bergen County Public Safety Institute in Mahwah.  Firefighters and family members gathered for the service to remember those firefighters of the Bergen County and Rockland County fire departments that had passed since the last memorial.  The organization's past president, Bergen County Fire Marshal Bryan Hennig, passed away in 2023. Presentation of Memorial Certificates were presented to family members by President Tony Chiodo.  Each family and department members were give flowers to place on the memorial in front of the complex, as they left the service.
