Members of the Commack Fire Department arrived at Harned Road at around one in the morning on May 4th in response to a reported car fire, which was promptly upgraded to a home fire response.

According to officials, while searching for residents and launching an intensive interior fire attack, firefighters stretched many handlines. Under Chief Purrazzella's direction, crews worked to contain and put out the fire.

During the event, no injuries were recorded.
