LINESVILLE, PA — April 27th — While the Fellows' Club Fire & EMS responded to a reported working residential structure fire on Inlet Road in Summerhill Township, the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department was sent on standby at its station. During the incident, a number of firefighters worked at the station to help keep the region covered for emergencies. Rescue Engine 15-8 responded with many people after Command asked LVFD for an engine to help at the incident.
As responders were already in charge of the situation, the equipment was canceled before it could reach the location. In order to keep emergency services available during significant disasters in nearby communities, mutual aid responses and station coverage assignments are still crucial.
