LINESVILLE, PA — April 23rd — A major brush fire on Inlet Road in Summit Township prompted the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and the Summit Township Fire & Rescue Department to respond. UTV 15-24 and Brush 15-4 arrived to help with overhaul operations and fire suppression. In order to confine hot areas and stop the fire from spreading further in dry outdoor circumstances, firefighters were on the site for around two hours.
Residents were advised by department officials to use caution when burning outside since wind and dry foliage can quickly intensify fire activity. Since brush fire reactions are still frequent during times of little rainfall and dry ground cover, fire agencies throughout the region are still keeping a careful eye on spring conditions.
