WALTHAM, MA - On the morning of May 19th, Waltham’s 911 center received a call for a pedestrian struck by a tractor-trailer at Main and Bacon Streets. Engine 4, Rescue 1, and Medics 1 and 2 were dispatched.
Engine 4 arrived on scene and reported a pedestrian down and unconscious. Deputy Chief Roger Hebert requested Medflight, but because it was unable to respond, the pedestrian was transported to Lahey Hospital in Burlington where he later died from injuries sustained.
