At 9:57 AM on Monday, 5/18/26 Norwich’s Engines 1 & 3, Squad A and Battalion 1 with American Ambulance and the CT State Police were dispatched to Route 2 Eastbound, Exit 37 for a box truck rollover possibly with fire. Battalion 1 signed on and requested East Great Plain ET 51 and Laurel Hill Tanker 61 in case more water would be needed. 

Engine 1 arrived at 10:03 with a box truck on it’s driver’s side that was not on fire. The driver self extricated and was evaluated by Engine 1. The truck had a minor diesel fuel leak and was carrying industrial batteries. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was requested to the scene by command.
