While Engine 95-1 was moved to the Birdsboro-Union Fire Department for station coverage, members of Earl Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 aided the Boyertown Area Fire and Rescue at two auto incidents on May 4.
Later that night, volunteers trained Attack 19 and Engine 19 on Earl Township's Furnace Run Road. Establishing a draft site and flowing water operations were the main objectives of the drill, according to officials.
The department encouraged those who are interested in the fire service to visit and find out more about becoming a member of the squad, noting that members get together every Monday night for training.
