Aliquippa Firefighters Battle Challenging Structure Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Members of the Aliquippa Firefighters responded to several reports of a structure fire just before 9 p.m. on May 3.

When Engine 91 arrived, fire was visible coming from the building's roof. According to officials, personnel started suppression efforts as soon as they were dispatched and had water on the fire within eight minutes.

Due to the building's construction and restricted access to some areas of the fire area, firefighters faced difficulties. The next morning, crews came back to put out the last of a concealed pocket of fire.

The department acknowledged the Beaver County Strike Team and mutual aid partners for their support throughout the event and commended the efforts of all responding firefighters.
