Mutual Aid Standby Escalates to Working Structure Fire Response

Genoa, NY - Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, New York, initially responded by staffing its station to provide coverage for the Scipio, Venice, Long Hill Fire District during a reported possible structure fire on Ford Road.
As the incident rapidly escalated to a confirmed working fire, Long Hill Command requested additional resources, prompting the response of Genoa Engine 1 to the scene.
Shortly thereafter, Genoa Tanker 1 was also requested for assignment to support water supply operations within the established box alarm.
In total, Genoa Cars 1 and 4, Engine 1, and Tanker 1 operated on the incident or in standby/assignment roles.
All Genoa units completed their assignments and returned to service after operations were concluded.
