Mutual Aid Assists at Old Forge Building Fire

OLD FORGE, N.Y. — On May 9th — A reported structure fire in the village of Old Forge prompted the response of the Old Forge Fire Department. When the first units arrived, they saw a lot of smoke pouring from the building's roof and eaves. Before the fire could spread farther across the building, firefighters swiftly set up handlines and sought to confine it. During the event, crews also finished overhaul and ventilation tasks.


The Old Forge Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Town of Webb Police Department, and the Eagle Bay Fire Department all offered mutual aid assistance. To secure the area and safeguard surrounding properties, firefighters coordinated their efforts.
