EMMAUS, PA - On May 7th around 4:30 p.m., the Emmaus Fire Department, along with the Vera Cruz and Western Salisbury fire companies, the Lower Macungie Fire Department and Emmaus EMS, were dispatched for an apartment fire at 144 Crest Way in the Borough of Emmaus. The dispatcher said multiple calls were being received. Chief 7 arrived and had smoke showing. Engine 7 arrived, advanced a handline into the apartment and had a a fire in the bedroom. Emmaus EMS provided treatment to tenants of the apartment and an additional ambulance from Macungie EMS was requested to the scene. The cause of the fire is pending the investigation by the fire marshal.
