Mutual Aid Responses Keep Units Busy in Westmoreland County

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Adamsburg, PA — April 6th — Under Westmoreland County mutual help, the Adamsburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to two fire occurrences in a single evening. Crews were dispatched on the first call to help the City of Jeannette Fire Department at a structure fire, where units supported overhaul and fire attack. Adamsburg was sent to help the Carbon Volunteer Fire Department at a second fire in the township shortly after clearance.

Crews collaborated on water supply and suppression activities with mutual aid organizations. As is typical in regional fire response systems, back-to-back incidents necessitated rapid turnaround and departmental coordination. Units maintained coverage for further calls after operating at both locations and returning to service without any reported injuries.
