CHEEKTOWAGA, NY - On Saturday, May 1st at 12:23 P.M., Cheektowaga Fire Control dispatched Forks Fire Department to a structure fire at Gateway Materials, 3870 Broadway Street. Forks Fire Chief Anthony Kronbeck went on location with heavy smoke showing and declared a working fire in a large commercial building. A second-alarm was struck, bringing mutual aid to the scene from U-Crest, Hy-View, Bellevue, Sloan, Twin District and Rescue Fire Departments. The blaze was brought under control in about 90 minutes. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
