North Yarmouth, ME - Firefighters quickly brought a field fire under control on Memorial Highway after multiple passersby reported the incident.

Arriving crews found an active fire covering an area of roughly 150 by 150 feet. Using a coordinated attack with a forestry line and several hundred gallons of water, firefighters were able to stop the spread and fully extinguish the blaze.

The fire was later determined to be accidental, with Maine Forest Rangers notified. No injuries or additional damage were reported.
