Turner Crews Assist at Large Brush Fire in Greene

Turner, ME - Turner Fire Rescue was automatically dispatched to a brush fire in the Sullivan Road area of Greene, where crews used a UTV and onboard water supply to access the fire via a railroad bed.


As operations continued, Turner units also responded to multiple medical calls and motor vehicle collisions in town, with additional personnel called in to support both local incidents and the growing wildfire response.


Later in the day, five additional members were deployed to assist with fire suppression efforts, including hotspot control, fire line construction, extinguishment, and protection of nearby railroad and structures.


Turner Fire extended thanks to all assisting agencies, including Buckfield Fire & Rescue, which provided coverage and support during the incident.
