BROOKS, ME — May 16th — Members of the Brooks Maine Fire Department went back to Robbins Lumber to help with the ongoing attempts to put out any hot spots left over from a recent fire there. After their job, firemen replenished and replaced Tanker 3's equipment to make sure it was ready for any future emergencies. Fire Chief Hans Albee stated that although suppression operations were still underway at the location, workers continued to collaborate with mutual aid agencies.
In order to completely put out a hidden fire, extended accidents at large industrial facilities may require several operating sessions. Brooks firefighters remained committed to supporting the response while maintaining readiness to serve their local community.
