JACKMAN, ME — April 3rd — A rollover collision on Route 201 at the Moose River bridge prompted the Jackman-Moose River Fire & Rescue Department, located at 610 Main St. At the northwest corner, a southbound pickup collided with a guardrail, overturned, and landed on its side in the northbound lane. The motorist was gravely hurt when the crews arrived.

Firefighters helped EMS with access and patient removal, stabilized the vehicle, and managed hazards. An ambulance took the driver to a neighboring hospital. Because of the restricted working space and traffic flow, bridge incidents call for extra caution. An effective response under limited circumstances was made possible by early scene management and communication with EMS.
