Quick Interior Work Stops Hidden Fire Inside Lewiston Home

LEWISTON, ME — Firefighters responded to a reported building fire on Bushey Circle and arrived to find smoke showing from the roofline of a single family residence.


Crews quickly went to work using specialized tools to locate the fire burning within the ceiling and concealed void spaces.

Once identified, firefighters efficiently extinguished the fire and prevented further extension throughout the home.

Companies completed overhaul and cleanup operations and were back in service within a short time.


Fire investigators determined the cause of the fire was related to an issue with a woodstove and ruled the incident non suspicious. No injuries were reported.
