Vails Gate responded to a reported structure fire at 16 Cedar Lane on April 26th. Vails Gate Car 1 requested the City of Newburgh FD respond to scene. Units arrived and found a grease fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished it. Firefighters checked for extensions. New Windsor Police blocked off road during the incident. Town of New Windsor EMS was dispatched for a subject that was injured, but they refused medical treatment.
