ADAMS, NY - In response to a reported structure fire at 137 Lilac Park Drive in the Village of Mannsville on April 19th, the Adams Fire Department provided mutual aid. An explosion and fire in a garage near a house were reported to dispatch. Engineers 1-4-1 and 1-4-2, Rescue 1-6-1, Squad 1-7-2, and Truck 1-8-1 answered to Chiefs 1-0-1, 1-0-2, and 1-0-3. On the scene were units from the Jefferson County Office of Fire Prevention and Control, Mannsville-Manor, Sandy Creek, and South Jefferson Rescue Squad. Because of the short distance, crews sought to confine the fire and safeguard the adjoining structure. Fire attack, exposure protection, and overhaul were among the operations. Units stayed on scene until the situation was under control before going back into service.
