DEER PARK, NY - On Saturday, April 11th, the Deer Park Fire Department was activated for a reported house fire on Sharon Lane. 1-4-30 arrived on scene and observed smoke showing from the roof. North Babylon Ladder 6 arrived on scene, went to the roof, and discovered solar panels on fire. Deer Park Engine 7 arrived on scene, stretched a 1¾-inch line, and began extinguishing the fire on the roof. The scene was placed under control within 30 minutes.
