HUDSON, NY - The City of Hudson Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire near the Basilica on South Front Street on April 11th, where crews located a small fire on the west side of the railroad tracks just south of Broad Street. Firefighters deployed a 2-inch handline to quickly contain and extinguish the flames, preventing any spread to nearby vegetation or structures. Thanks to a swift and efficient response, the incident was brought under control in short order and units returned to service.
