Stony Brook Supports St. James Working Fire

On July 16, at around 3:13 a.m., the Stony Brook Volunteer Fire Department responded on mutual assistance to a working structure fire.


Firefighters of the St. James Fire Department were tasked with positioning the aerial gear and supporting fireground operations, and Chief 31 and Ladder 16 were sent to help. By around 3:35 a.m., crews collaborated with St. James firefighters to contain the fire. Ladder By 4:41 a.m., 16 were back in service. showing the ongoing collaboration between nearby fire departments during emergency situations following the completion of the mutual aid assignment.
