POMFRET, VT - Pomfret-Teago Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fast-moving brush fire that quickly escalated, prompting requests for mutual aid on April 9th.

Crews arrived to find fire spreading uphill through dry grass and brush, creating challenging conditions.

Firefighters worked to contain the fire and stop forward progression, followed by extensive overhaul operations to eliminate remaining hot spots.

Mutual aid departments from Barnard, Bridgewater, Hartford, Sharon, and Woodstock assisted in suppression efforts and scene support.
