Canterbury, CT - Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company, with mutual aid from Central Village, Scotland, and Chaplin, quickly contained a brush fire on Graff Road involving grass and several large trees, taking care to avoid nearby power lines.

Crews were then dispatched with Lisbon and Central Village units to Dr. Helen Baldwin Middle School for a fire alarm, where a broken sprinkler head was found in a locker room.

The scene was secured, and activities in the building continued without disruption.
