Engines 7 and 8 Respond to MVA with Fluid Spill

FANWOOD, NJ, April 15th — The Fanwood Fire Department was called to a two-car collision on North Avenue. To help with fluid containment and scene safety, engines 7 and 8 were sent out. Crews that arrived first attested to the absence of entrapment and major injuries. In order to lessen risks for rescuers and drivers, firefighters sought to contain leaking fluids using absorbent materials. While police oversaw local traffic control, EMS workers assessed occupants.
