Hillside, NJ - The Hillside Fire Department FMBA responded to a reported vehicle fire in the eastbound express lanes of Route 78, where crews arrived to find a fully involved car fire.

Due to the highway location, units from the Union Fire Department arrived simultaneously, and both departments worked side by side to bring the fire under control.

Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and coordinated suppression efforts, containing the blaze efficiently.

Thanks to the teamwork and professionalism of all crews on scene, the fire was extinguished without any reported injuries, and operations were completed safely.
