Dummerston Responds to Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Incident

DUMMERSTON, VT, April 1st — The Dummerston Fire Department was called to the scene of a car vs pedestrian incident at Route 30 and Depot Road. Units that arrived first verified the report and started evaluating and treating the patients. Air medical transport was required due to the severity of the injuries. After being taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, the patient was moved to a helicopter for more care. Four department personnel arrived at the location.


Crews from Guilford and Newbrook, including chiefs and firefighters, helped each other out. Before emergency units arrived, a physician assistant who was passing through also helped. To guarantee prompt patient care and transportation, the fire, emergency medical services, and air medical teams have to work together.
