Rutland City , VT - The West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department, along with Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department, Granville Rescue Squad, and Granville Engine & Hose Company No. 1, responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Route 149 near Bullfrog Hollow Road triggered by an iPhone crash detection alert.
Units arrived on scene and investigated the report, determining that no crash had occurred. The alert was traced to a dropped iPhone from a passing vehicle.
All responding units were quickly cleared and returned to service after confirming no hazards or injuries were present.
