Bowmanstown Crews Handle Brush Fire with Vehicle Involvement

The Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported brush fire on Municipal Road on April 10.
When units arrived, they saw many burning automobiles. In order to prevent the fire from spreading beyond the surrounding region, crews swiftly launched a fire attack.
Suppression efforts were aided by mutual aid from Mahoning Valley Fire Company No. 1 and the East Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department. Officials noted that coordinated operations between departments allowed for a quick knockdown and prevented further extension.
