BERNVILLE, PA — May 12th — Tanker 29 helped with water supply and fireground operations as Bernville Community Fire Company responded to a working house fire in Centre Township. During the event, crews were able to constantly supply water from various tankers by using a clappered Siamese connection that was installed on the department's suppression gear. Without the delays that come with setting up a portable water tank or depending on a single truck, the method aids in maintaining a constant water supply.

The equipment has improved water supply operations, according to department officials, supporting a number of recent answers. The event made clear how crucial it is to have dependable tanker operations and to work together to provide mutual aid in places lacking access to hydrants.
