Head-On Collision Prompts Multi-Agency Response

Hope, NJ - The Hope Volunteer Fire Department - Station 38 responded alongside 46 Rescue to a reported two-vehicle head-on collision along Route 611 at the overlook.


Firefighters arrived to find both vehicles blocking the roadway and quickly secured the scene, shutting down traffic to ensure safety. Crews immediately initiated patient care, stabilizing those involved until the arrival of EMS and paramedics. Fire personnel then assisted with packaging and loading patients for transport to area hospitals.


In addition to medical operations, firefighters mitigated hazards by addressing multiple fluid spills across the roadway, helping to prevent further incidents. Crews remained on scene until all patients were transported and the area was made safe for reopening.
