Bridgewater Crews Knock Down Morning House Fire

BRIDGEWATER, MA — April 7th — At around 9:55 a.m., the Bridgewater Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 630 Main Street. 4 and Ambulance 4 were the first to arrive, reporting smoke coming from a two-and-a-half-story wood-frame house. While a working fire assignment and station coverage were requested, crews launched an interior attack. Engine 1, Tower 1, and command personnel were among the other units that responded to support operations.


No injuries were recorded, as the house was empty at the time. After controlling the situation, firefighters stayed on the scene to do an overhaul.


Middleborough Fire Department for station coverage, Easton Fire Department as the Rapid Intervention Team, and East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater (on the scene) all offered mutual help. The scene was cleared at approximately 12:35 p.m. The cause remains under investigation.
