ERIE, PA — April 7th — A reported structure fire on Wales Road prompted the Kuhl Hose Fire Department, located at 3131 Rescue Lane, to react early on Tuesday morning. When units arrived, smoke was seen, and command was formed. While securing a water supply, crews used handlines and launched an interior assault. In order to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the building, firefighters sought to identify the fire's origin and contain it there.

While workers looked for hidden fires, ventilation was carried out. Mutual help organizations provided labor and operational support. Responders and residents did not report any injuries. Until the fire was contained and the overhaul was finished, crews stayed on the scene. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
