GREENFIELD TWP., PA — April 8th — A reported structure fire prompted the Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company, located at 10160 Station Road. When Unit 701 arrived, they saw a 30-by-40-foot garage with smoke visible and established control. While securing a water supply, crews used handlines and launched an interior assault. The goal of operations was to keep the fire contained within the garage and stop it from spreading to other buildings. Due to restricted access to hydrants, water operations were backed by tankers.
Greenfield 704E, 715T, 707A; Fuller Hose Company #1 202E, 206T; Fairfield Hose Company 263E; Harborcreek Fire Department 222E, 225E; and Kuhl Hose Company 685T, 686T were among the mutual aid units. To contain the fire, all businesses collaborated. Crews finished overhaul work, and no injuries were recorded.
