This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Morrisonville, NY — March 10th — After a large ice jam removed, the Morrisonville Fire Department, located at 1927 State Route 22B, reported better river conditions. The river resumed its regular flow and the water levels at Jan Street and LaPierre Lane returned to normal. The main channel was open, but there was still some ice 30 to 50 feet from the River Street beach.

Throughout the day, crews kept an eye on the situation to guarantee stability and public safety. The ADK Technical Rescue Team, the Clinton County Office of Emergency Services, the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police Troop B, the American Red Cross, and the Morrisonville Fire Auxiliary all collaborated in the mission. The prolonged response, according to officials, demonstrated excellent interagency collaboration and readiness for cold-weather water problems.
