Albany, NY - The Westmere Fire Department supported two major incidents, providing mutual aid to neighboring agencies.
Crews first assisted the Altamont Fire Department with a working structure fire in the Village of Altamont. Squad 93 responded with eight firefighters, serving as the F.A.S.T. team and remaining on scene throughout the incident.
Later, Westmere was dispatched to assist the Guilderland Fire Department with a large outdoor fire on Route 146. Engine 96 responded with five firefighters, aiding in suppression and overhaul operations.
Both responses demonstrated effective teamwork and strong regional cooperation.
