Delta-Cardiff and Mutual Aid Control Structure Fire

PEACH BOTTOM TWP., PA — April 9th — A working dwelling fire in the Ruff Road unit block was responded to by the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company Station 57 and mutual assistance organizations. A fire was visible from the Bravo side of a two-and-a-half-story single-family residence when Chief 57-1 arrived. To put out the main body of fire, crews employed a blitz fire and several 1½-inch handlines. Every resident was present and not at home at the time.


Suppression, ventilation, and overhaul were supported by Southern York County EMS and mutual aid from Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. and Airville Volunteer Fire Company. During operations, Bryansville Road was closed. For overhaul and extension checks, crews stayed on the scene.
