Third-Due Engine Crew Drives Aggressive Attack at Homestead Structure Fire

Munhall, PA - Munhall Central Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company responded to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of West 14th Avenue in Homestead.


Operating as the third-due engine, Rescue Engine 201 arrived with a crew of four and executed a split lay, deploying approximately 600 feet of supply hose into the alley to establish a reliable water supply.


Crews quickly placed multiple handlines into service and initiated an aggressive fire attack on the Charlie side of the primary fire building.


A total of 10 members from Station 201 responded and operated on scene for several hours, assisting with fire suppression and overhaul operations.


The fire remains under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.
