Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue Assists at Apartment Fire in Whitehall

Jefferson Hills, PA - Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the Borough of Whitehall for a reported apartment fire that was initially received as a fire alarm. Rescue 180 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, 301 Chief confirmed a working kitchen fire in a basement apartment.
The rescue company was assigned as the search group for Divisions 1 and 2. Crews conducted searches of eight apartments, all with negative results. After completing the primary searches, personnel assisted with ventilation operations to clear the building.
The rescue company operated with four members for approximately two hours before returning to the first-due area. Engine 2 remained in the borough to provide coverage while the rescue worked the incident.
Their coordinated efforts supported Whitehall units in bringing the situation under control safely and efficiently.
