Mutual Aid Crews Respond to Residential Fire in Berks County

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

When crews from Central Berks Fire Company came on March 30th for mutual aid to a building fire, they discovered that the house was extensively damaged.

While other equipment attempted to provide a more permanent water supply for operations, Engine 38 and Tanker 38, positioned behind Engine 37, helped with the initial fire fight.

Firefighters focused on supporting suppression efforts as crews worked to control the fire. The lone person inside the house at the time was able to safely leave, according to officials, despite the significant damage to the building.

Departments continued operations at the scene until the fire was brought under control.
