This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Several units were sent to Box 17-1 in Sheshequin Township at 10:28 p.m. on April 5th due to a chimney fire that had reportedly spread to the house.

Three members of Rescue 2 from Station 17 responded. Ulster 1 confirmed upon arrival that the fire seemed to be primarily contained within the chimney, though it might have spread into the attic. Everyone had left the house safely.

Soon after, Rescue 2 came, set up an attack line, and doused the fire area with water. Other mutual assistance units were relocated to quarters as more companies from Stations 25, 15, and 1 arrived. Firefighters reported minimal fire damage to the roof and attic space. No injuries were reported. Crews operated for approximately two hours before clearing the scene around midnight.
