MANCHESTER, VT - The Manchester Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request from the Dorset Fire Department on April 5th for a leaking underground propane tank on Dorset Hollow Road. Crews were unable to shut off or plug the tank, so the remaining product was safely flared off to eliminate the hazard. Manchester’s Pumper Tanker 9 assisted on scene, working alongside Dorset firefighters to ensure a safe and controlled operation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
