The Citizens Fire Company #2 of Emmaus is celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2026. The Citizen's Fire Company #2 was officially organized on October 26th 1926, By a dedicated group of local citizens aiming to enhance fire protection in the southwestern portion of the borough. It received it's offcial charter on May 9th 1927 Operating from a converted schoolhouse the company expanded in the 1940's and was part of the three company system that merged in 1980. Until 1980 fire protection in the borough of Emmaus was provided by three separate companies (No.1, No.2 and No.3) In 1980 these operations were consolidated under the Emmaus Borough Fire Department following the construction of a central fire station on 6th street. Today the Citizen's Fire Company #2 is a active social club with over 2000 Members and holds various community events.
