FAWN GROVE, PA — March 21st — At a working residence fire close to Norrisville Road and Jolly Acres Road, firefighters from the Citizens Volunteer Fire Company arrived to support the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company. As part of the mutual aid duty, Engine 56 and Tanker 56 were sent out. When crews arrived, they assisted in maintaining the water supply for firefighters on the scene and supported suppression efforts. When hydrant systems are scarce, tanker operations and coordinated water supply are frequently necessary for rural structure fires.
To handle the situation and assist with fireground operations, multiple departments collaborated. During structural fires, mutual help actions such as this one offer more personnel, equipment, and water. In order to provide responding equipment with easy access, fire authorities advised drivers to stay away from the area between Jolly Acres Road and Norrisville Road.
