HAWLEYVILLE, CT - On the evening of March 17, 2026, at approximately 11:00 P.M., Hawleyville Fire, Newtown Ambulance, and paramedics were dispatched to a reported MVA with rollover on Mount Pleasant Road. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a vehicle approximately 40-feet down an embankment off the roadway. Due to the severity of the incident, the response was upgraded to a possible extrication, prompting the addition of Newtown Hook & Ladder to the assignment. Fortunately, the occupant was able to self-extricate prior to the arrival of additional crews. The individual was subsequently transported to the hospital for evaluation.
