Swift Mutual Aid Response Contains Residential Fire in Allegheny County

Ambridge, PA - On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Leetsdale Volunteer Fire Department, along with mutual aid partners, responded to a residential structure fire on Ohio River Boulevard in Allegheny County. Responding units observed smoke visible from approximately a quarter mile away. Fire crews initiated a rapid offensive attack, successfully knocking down the bulk of the fire. They then continued with overhaul operations, extinguishing remaining hot spots. Due to the swift and coordinated response, the fire was contained to the residence of origin.
